Seedings are determined by a poll of participating head coaches, statewide media and organizing committee members. Adjustments are made to avoid teams playing a conference or regular season opponent through the first two rounds of the tournament.

Now in its 20th year as the Ron Knisley Memorial Shootout, the event includes sixteen Special Olympics teams from across the state participating in a bracketed two-day tournament.
