2018 State Farm Holiday Classic Pairings Released

The pairings and brackets for the 2018 State Farm Holiday Classic (Dec. 26-29) have been released. This year the Holiday Classic is celebrating its 40th anniversary and will be held at four venues across Bloomington-Normal — Illinois Wesleyan University’s Shirk Center, Bloomington High School, Normal Community High School and Normal West High School.

Among the field of 64 teams:

• 9 of the 64 teams are currently undefeated
• 22 of the 64 teams are currently state-ranked or received votes in their respective state polls
• 30 of the 64 teams have two or fewer losses
• combined record of 64 team field is 321-185 for a .634 winning percentage
• six teams in this year’s field took home state trophies last season (Girls: Peoria Richwoods, Union (KY) Ryle Boys: Annawan, Bloomington Central Catholic, Winnebago and North Chicago)
• 27 of the 64 teams won at least a Regional championship last season
