Other Tidbits of Information	Providence-St. Mel ended the 2009-10 season with a 58-47 Sectional championship loss to Elmhurst Timothy Christian. Head coach Tim Ervin is in his second season at the helm of Providence-St. Mel after coaching the varsity team from 2000-2003. Ervin played for Purdue University Men's Basketball Team (1992-95) as a walk-on under legendary Coach Gene Keady. Freshman coach Stan Gaines is a former 2002 all-stater and Chicago Sun-Times Class A Player of the Year at Providence-St. Mel who later went on to star at Seton Hall after transferring from the University of Minnesota.
