| What You Need to Know | The Comets won their second straight Vermilion County Tournament title last season after previously being held without one since 1987.
Stephanie Marsh is in her first year coaching her alma mater after spending the past several years as an assistant. Marsh played college basketball at Parkland and then Olivet Nazarene. Katelyn Young (Offers from Bradley, EIU, SIU-C, Kent State, Indiana State, Old Dominion, Northern Kentucky, Xavier and Murray State) Scored her 1,000th career point on Jan. 24 vs. Hoopeston. She was named 2nd team IBCA All-state, Honorable Mention AP All-state 1st team News-Gazette All-area, 1st team Vermillion Valley All-conference, 1st team Vermilion All-County and Special Mention News-Gazette All-state last season. Paiton Frerichs was named 1st team Vermilion All-County last season. Kylie Neuman is another returning starter for the Comets from last season. |
